It’s a decent product, but I expected more given the price. but a little more innovation would be great.

I am a supervisor in a research and development laboratory, and spend a couple of hours a day on conference calls. I was using a headset, but some of my coworkers were complaining that there was too much background noise to hear me. I bought this to help eliminate some of that background noise, and so far it has worked well. I've been using it for several weeks, and finally had to charge the battery for the first time this weekend. I have received no additional complaints about people not hearing me. The voice pickup is apparent very good.

Just received our Dcenta microphone the other day and used it for the first time this morning. We travel 100% of the time for business and have multiple teleconferences every week sometimes in an office setting, but sometimes in a hotel, a school, or the "mobile office" (our car). I have long wanted a portable teleconference speakerphone, but have never been able to find a product like this one before.

This speakerphone has been hugely important in freeing my hands to work, type, listen, and keep notes while I spend countless hours on conference after conference. It's not a perfect product, but it's pretty close. The included carrying case, LED volume level indicator, considerable heft and solid feel (and rubberized grip on the bottom), adept handling of noise cancellation and the quality others on Zoom and Teams calls tell me it provides to listeners is great. That it can operate without a USB tether (though I usually keep it plugged in) is great.

Speakerphone Microphone - As others have noted, does not play music well. This is strictly a voice device. But it is awesome at what it does. The biggest thing is noise cancelling. I will hear the occasional keyboard but it kills that static noise on calls so well. I use it as both a speakerphone for my cell and as a usb speaker for webex and teams calls. With working at home due to COVID the audio on those calls was driving me mad. Now I can hear, no bad pc speaker audio, no grating noise that makes my skin crawl - now it is just the spoken content that does that. Amazing for voice. I like to use it in the car too... it lets the AC stay cranked up where the car BT turns down the fans.

My job is 90+% travel and has been for the past 8 years. I've used every iteration of Jabra portable speakerphones (410, 510, and now 710) and a number of Plantronics portable speakerphones as well. The PowerConf is a great v1.0 entry for Dcenta. For the purposes of this review, I'm comparing the Anker PowerConf against the Jabra 510 as I think that's the closest 1:1 comparison.

Let me start out by saying this is my first speaker Phone. Working from home, with hours a day in online meetings I decided I had to have something to give my ears a rest form the head set. These are perfect for that. I find people can hear me clearly when I speak and the volume adjusts nicely for me. I typically use ZOOM and Teams for meetings the Anker connects just fine with no issues. The only down tick I would give them is on the noise cancellation, by the time I get to the point of filtering background noise I find it is also hard for me to be heard. A simple fix though, I just mute myself when not talking, just touching the mute button works perfectly for that. It also does well to play an occasional video (e.g. instructional / training) - just don't expect high fidelity - these weren't designed for that. Get a nice pair of headphones or a good speaker system if you want music. One more thing, it works much better if you set it up the way you will be using it. don't expect to be running with the USB and then unplug it and have it immediately switch to bluetooth. It will change back and forth, but I find it is easier to plan ahead and boot up with it in the mode you want to use it in.

I use this with Microsoft Teams and it works perfectly. I have delivered a number of presentations and training classes using Teams and the sound and mic work flawlessly. You may need to do some adjustments on your computer and in the software to assign the device, but once set, I have had no issues. Worth every penny!

I work from home and purchased this speaker for extended conference calls (when wearing headphones is uncomfortable). The sound quality on both ends is, so good with this speaker, that I no longer use my headphones. I simply connect to the speaker in the morning and answer calls on the Speakerphone all day.

Our zoom calls on the iPad were often hard to hear. Confounded by the fact that we place the iPad a ways away so that we are all in the camera frame. With this speaker the problem went away. The speaker can be placed right near us. The volume goes very loud. The sound quality is excellent. Our friends report that they can hear us clearly. Be aware that the automatic gain control will have this microphone pick up a lot. Once we were sitting quietly listening to our friends on the video call and they reported that they could hear some loud beeping from our side. Turned out to be a device in a far bedroom that we were just ignoring. In a test, one of went into the far room and talked quietly like they were on a phone call and the remote video viewers could hear it all.

During the pandemic, we saw the majority of our meetings at work switch from in person around our conference room table to Zoom and Teams... It was getting cumbersome to try and use our conference phone plus computer audio... so we made the decision to forego the use of the old fashion Polycom conference phone and move to a better solution. As a huge fan of Anker, I was happy to see they had a product that checked all the boxes...
